“Information is Beautiful Awards”是為了鼓勵和獎勵在圖表設計、數據、信息可視化方向上做出優秀表現的設計師和設計作品，至今已經舉辦了四屆。今年，“Information is Beautiful Awards”除了團體項目類之外，更是延伸到了個人及學生項目，以此來鼓勵更多領域的人參加。上篇的作品以設計為主，而在下篇中，我們則會為大家介紹更多優秀的制作軟件。
Most Beautiful 年度最美項目
Dear Data
by Giorgia Lupi and Stefanie Posavec
Giorgia Lupi 和 Stephanie Posavec 是兩位數據可視化設計師。他們一個住在紐約，一個住在倫敦，而這個 Dear Data 項目是他們每周例行的一次“筆友會”：每周確定一個主題（或者說數據展現的方式），收集自己這周生活中出現的數字（開過的門，喝過的酒）然后把這些畫成可視化數據的形式，寄給對方。

Vaccines and Infectious Diseases

《華爾街日報》在2014年 2 月獻上了這系列令人訝異的信息圖，強調了疫苗對人類不可磨滅的功績。在一些聲音開始質疑疫苗安全的時候，這組 100,000 病例樣本數據，展示了如果沒有疫苗，世界將會非常的“色彩斑斕”。
