在美國， 歷史教科書中有89％的故事是關于男性的，女性的歷史是一個很少被人提及的重要話題。三月是女性的歷史月，美國一款利用AR增強現實技術的App上線——Lessons in herstory，重寫女性在歷史書中的地位，歷史 (History)不再是男人為男人寫的歷史。
Herstory重新改寫了美國最受歡迎的歷史教科書——“美國歷史”第5冊上（1820年至1860年），學生通過掃描書上男性的歷史人物，就能解鎖歷史上同一時期未被提及的相關女性人物的故事。
目前，該應用程序包含了19世紀時期75位相關的女性歷史人物，其中包括： Annie Oakley，Harriet Tubman以及Cathy Williams。
隨著AR技術的發展，現在只需要通過一個手機鏡頭，就能證明這不是一個男人的世界。
