Project Understood
目前，智能語音系統(tǒng)已經應用在生活中很多數字設備中，從智能手機，到汽車，再到家庭語音助手。這些系統(tǒng)為提升生活品質提供了無限可能。但就目前的情況來看，這項技術并沒有針對那些最能從中受益的群體——殘障人士進行優(yōu)化。自動語音識別（ASR）可以極大地提高語言障礙者與智能設備的交互能力，促進他們更加獨立地生活。
唐氏綜合癥患者獨特的語言模式使語音技術難以理解他們聲音，這是因為缺乏大量的聲音數據支撐語音系統(tǒng)學習。為幫助他們更好地擁抱人工智能時代，加拿大唐氏綜合癥協(xié)會（CDSS）與 Google AI 合力推出了“Project Understood”。目前項目正著手通過記錄數千名唐氏綜合癥參與者的聲音來幫助語音智能系統(tǒng)訓練和改進技術，使語音技術更容易被殘障人士接受。
Google 能夠收集到的語音模式數據越多，Google AI 的分析就越準確，因此團隊鼓勵更多的人參與進來。目前想要參與到這個項目中的唐氏綜合癥患者只需登陸網站 https://projectunderstood.ca 就能捐贈聲音。整個操作過程很簡單：只需點擊 "捐贈你的語音"，然后等待 Google 的登錄郵件，接著錄制你的語音。最后，用戶可以在 Facebook 等其他社交媒體分享這個程序，因為每增加一個聲音都會有助于程序的準確性提高。
