空間: W+K上海辦公室
誰(shuí)說(shuō)一定需要足夠的場(chǎng)地來(lái)展示作品呢? 我們?cè)缫颜业搅讼蚬娬故網(wǎng)+K和中國(guó)本土優(yōu)秀人才的絕佳空間——W+K上海辦公室的玻璃幕墻。首次展覽作品來(lái)自我們創(chuàng)意組的三位設(shè)計(jì)師, 他們包辦了辦公室三層樓的窗貼設(shè)計(jì), 以此展現(xiàn)W+K的活力和精神。
三幅“巨作”以天堂、人間以及地獄命名, 來(lái)聽(tīng)一下他們各自的獨(dú)到見(jiàn)解吧。
《天堂》設(shè)計(jì)師—Morris Lee
元素的構(gòu)建來(lái)自我理想中的W+K上海天堂, 如果存在的話。基本上我只是混搭了一些東方神話如笑佛、寶塔, 某些青年文化元素如愚蠢朋克樂(lè)隊(duì)、快樂(lè)分裂樂(lè)隊(duì)主音伊恩·柯蒂斯隨身攜帶并因此聲名遠(yuǎn)揚(yáng)的VoxPhantom吉他、暴力反抗機(jī)器樂(lè)隊(duì)的標(biāo)志以及Wii的遙控器等等，當(dāng)然還少不了辦公室某些同事的肖像。
《人間》設(shè)計(jì)師—Ellie See
我的靈感來(lái)自W+K上海的日常工作氛圍。有些同樣的人物貫穿整個(gè)作品, 你可以看到他們騎車(chē)去上班、開(kāi)會(huì)、在超現(xiàn)實(shí)環(huán)境下和動(dòng)物、棕櫚樹(shù)一起工作。這是一個(gè)人與自然完美生存的理想空間。
《地獄》設(shè)計(jì)師—Driv Loo
我的作品是地獄, 所以有人在下面工作、玩樂(lè)。正如發(fā)掘我們尚未意識(shí)到的事物一樣, 你也可以說(shuō)你在下面看到了鬼魂和怪獸。它可以是任何一個(gè)讓你玩樂(lè)的危險(xiǎn)地帶……
Who says you need space to showcase artwork? Using our office window, we found a perfect canvas to display the talent of both WKers and local Chinese talents to the public. Our first exhibition deals with window stickers by 3 of our creative team that cover 3 floors of our office, to showcase W+K’s energy and sprit.
Divided into Heaven, Earth, and Underworld, here’s what each artist has to say about their work.
From Heaven: Morris Lee
A construction of elements drawn from what I felt is the perfect representation of W+K Shanghai’s heaven… Should there be one.?Basically I just mashed up eastern mythology stuff eg. laughing buddha, pagoda with some youth cultural icons like daft punk, the infamous vox phantom carried by Ian Curtis, vocal, RAGE against the machine logo, wii remote etc. And yeah there’s some portraits of people from the office.
In the now and present, Earth by Ellie See:
My inspirations come from the W+K’s daily working atmosphere and the environment. There is a same character through out the illustrations, you can see him cycling to work, having meeting and working in surreal background with animals and fan-trees. It’s a space where people and nature comes together.
And of course, underground by Driv Loo:
Mine is underground, so there are some workers working, digging, having fun down there… Like discovering something we haven’t realize. ?And as you can see there are ghosts and monsters down there too…. It can be a dangerous place to play with…
